Small-scale industrial production is considered social inclusion instrument for family farmers, both for their living and for increasing income, therefore, an important mechanism for economic development and poverty reduction in vulnerable regions.
FAO’s program “Accelerator for Agriculture and Agro-industry Development and Innovation (3ADI+)” supports the industrialization of agricultural products so that they can have positive social and environmental impacts, including improvement in food and nutritional safety, and poverty reduction.
